I will have to search it out now. Lol I remember playing in the derelict rubber mill when I was a child. I remember what I believed to be the crown green bowling site next to it too. My grandfather worked at the rubber mill.

Such a shame that the others can’t be found/returned. The stone that’s there now has almost passed into Stirchley legend. I asked my partner (who grew up in Stirchley) how he knew about the stone and who’d told him the story, but all he could remember was that somebody, sometime had once told him about it.

Some stones were put in store (but no one seems to know where they are now) and others went to Sarehole Mill (and no they are not prepared to return them). This one will probably best be preserved sleeping quietly under the undergrowth!
